The United Church of Christ is no longer a Christian church and is apostate, let me explain.

Many denominational churches (American churches in general) are no longer Christian churches, meaning they no longer preach the God of the Bible who is a gracious, loving, jealous (desiring our full devotion), and Holy (set apart) God.

A Christian is a person who has been redeemed, forgiven, and set free from the power of darkness and sin to serve and please God and to do His will (not their own). God's will is that we abstain from sexual immorality (not be involved in it in any way). Let's look at this in a practical manner:

That means if you're living with someone and are sexually involved with them and you become a Christian (or have professed or do profess faith in Jesus), you should move out or have them move out of your home and either get married to them or sever the relationship. Sleeping around/hooking up is not something Christians do, it's like oil an water they don't mix. You can't have both, you either choose your relationship with Jesus or your relationship with your sexual partner.

No one in churches says these kinds of simple truths very often any more. Thus, the majority of the church world is all on their own with no truth speakers helping them understand the stated will of God in these kinds of areas. Here are some scriptures for you to help understand the matter:

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭2‬-‭4

“For you know what instructions we gave you through the Lord Jesus. For this is the will of God, your sanctification: that you abstain from sexual immorality; that each one of you know how to control his own body in holiness and honor,”

‭‭1 Thessalonians‬ ‭4‬:‭7-8

“For God has not called us for impurity, but in holiness. Therefore whoever disregards this, disregards not man but God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.”

Mark 7:20-22

20 And he said, “What comes out of a person is what defiles him. 21 For from within, out of the heart of man, come evil thoughts, sexual immorality, theft, murder, adultery, 22 coveting, wickedness, deceit, sensuality, envy, slander, pride, foolishness.

Romans 13:12-14

12 The night is far gone; the day is at hand. So then let us cast off the works of darkness and put on the armor of light. 13 Let us walk properly as in the daytime, not in orgies and drunkenness, not in sexual immorality and sensuality, not in quarreling and jealousy. 14 But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to gratify its desires.

1 Corinthians 6:17-19

17 But he who is joined to the Lord becomes one spirit with him. 18 Flee from sexual immorality. Every other sin[a] a person commits is outside the body, but the sexually immoral person sins against his own body. 19 Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? You are not your own,

1 Corinthians 10:7-9

7 Do not be idolaters as some of them were; as it is written, “The people sat down to eat and drink and rose up to play.” 8 We must not indulge in sexual immorality as some of them did, and twenty-three thousand fell in a single day. 9 We must not put Christ to the test, as some of them did and were destroyed by serpents,

Galatians 5:19-20

19 Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, 20 idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions,

You get the point, this thread is all through the Word of God from Old to New Testament, from Genesis to Revelation. Don't play with fire as it burns, flee sexual immorality and live. There is no gray area in this matter, it's very clear, and very black and white.
